This is the new Caterham Seven Supersport, a new roadster that offers track-biased fun for less than £20k. Students of the Transportation Design course at Turin's Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) have been busy designing a new road-going McLaren sports car for the British brand. Third-year students developed 14 super cars for project sponsors McLaren as part of their final-year project for the 2005-2006 academic year. The brief was to come up with a sports car capable of speeds of over 320 km/h (200 mph), that would provide its owner with road-going F1 technology and unparalleled dynamic and aerodynamic performance.
Meet the hottest Renaultsport Megane ever – the Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy, which Renault hopes will eat the SEAT Leon Cupra for breakfast around the infamous Nurburgring test track. Packing, you guessed it, 275hp, the 275 Trophy has an extra 10hp over the standard Megane Renaultsport. Exact performance figures are still to be confirmed but Renault tells us the Trophy will return 37.7mpg, with peak power from its twin-turbocharged engine coming at 5,500rpm.
